18th April 2018

"Most people are on the world, not in it; have no conscious sympathy or relationship to anything about them," wrote John Muir, the environmentalist, scientist, adventurer and Sierra Club founder. Unfortunately, his statement is far truer now than it was in his time. In today's society, how can we connect with our environment? How can we increase our appreciation for nature?

This assignment requires student to watch the movie documentary ‘EARTH’ 2007 and to present factual information, personal experiences and thoughts by produced a nature journal which minimum 18 pages and maximum 25 pages with front and back cover. Student needs to sketch and describe in detail of elements that they had seen in 'EARTH 2007' by observing and doing extended research.

Generally, this is a meaningful assignment which raise awareness on the importance of a healthy natural environment. It reminds people that nature is fundamental to our economy and social structures, our homes and neighbourhoods, our ability to create and construct things, and to our health and happiness.
